Payment

North Shore Speech and Feeding Therapy is an out-of-network provider. This means that payment is due at the time of service, and we do not bill insurance directly. We accept private pay for all services in the form of credit/debit card, cash, and/or check. If you would like to seek reimbursement from your insurance company, we are happy to provide a detailed superbill. You can submit this to your insurance plan to request out-of-network reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and varies by insurance plan. We encourage families to contact their insurance provider directly to learn more about out-of-network benefits.

FAQs

What is a superbill?

A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes the information your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network claim, including procedure codes (CPT), diagnosis codes and your provider’s information.

Will my insurance reimburse me if I submit a superbill?

It depends on your plan. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to learn more.

How do I know if I have out-of-network coverage?

Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:

-Do I have out-of-network benefits for speech therapy?

-What percentage of the session cost is reimbursed?

-Do I need to meet a deductible first, and if so, how much is it?

-Where should I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

When will I receive a superbill?

Superbills are typically provided monthly.

Who gets reimbursed - me or the therapist?

Reimbursement goes directly to the family, not to North Shore Speech and Feeding Therapy.
